Private Sourcing Events - Meet pre-selected suppliers from Greater China

What is a Private Sourcing Event?

A Private Sourcing Event (PSE) is a one-day event during which sourcing teams meet with pre-selected suppliers in a series of private meetings.

Each PSE is focused on a specific range of product categories. Suppliers are selected by buyers in advance, after reviewing Vendor Profiles collected by Global Sources.

Each sourcing team can meet with up to 12 suppliers over the course of the day, with meetings beginning around 8:30am and finishing by 6:00pm. The meetings are organized in a quality hotel in Greater China, which is located near a major supply base for the products that are the focus of the PSE. Multiple buying offices participate in the same PSE, but have separate, private meeting rooms.

What is a Virtual Private Sourcing Event?

A Virtual Private Sourcing Event (VPSE) is the same as a PSE except that the meetings are via online video conference. Buyers meet online with suppliers who are seated in a private conference room within the same venue as the PSE.

The purpose of this service is to enable buyers to meet with pre-selected suppliers even though they cannot attend the PSE in person. Once buyers sign up, Global Sources will give them Vendor Profiles of recommended suppliers that match the buyer's sourcing priorities.
