Agentrics taps Kewill to offer global data synchronization solutions in the U.K.,
partners with Webb in Brazil to target Latin American retail industry
Alexandria, VA - July 13, 2007 – Agentrics, a provider of sourcing, collaboration and product lifecycle management solutions to the retail industry, has formed two new partnerships that will extend its reach into the U.K. and Latin American markets.
First, Agentrics is partnering with Kewill Systems, a provider of supply network and business integration solutions, to offer Agentrics solutions to retailers and consumer packaged goods suppliers in the U.K. market.
"Agentrics works directly with many of the region's largest retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury's and Marks & Spencer, and the Kewill relationship will help to extend our value to a wider audience of retailers and thousands of suppliers throughout the region," said Fabiano Aguilar, Agentrics vice president for Europe. "As more and more retailers and suppliers start to share product information through the Global Data Synchronization Network, Kewill will expand our penetration by providing seamless access for its clients through the Agentrics GDSN-certified data pool."
Agentrics said its solutions support collaboration and data synchronization between retailers and manufacturers to improve planning and forecasting, master item data, supplier scorecarding and overall business relationships. Kewill has begun to sign manufacturers and prepare them for the GDSN by working with Agentrics to provide training, data cleansing and technology integration.
"Kewill supports thousands of suppliers as they trade electronically with retail partners, and we are always looking for ways to add value to our existing customer base," said Jacquie Boast, Kewill chief marketing officer. "This new partnership with Agentrics will give us the ability to ensure our customers can effectively trade based on GDSN standards-driven data. The U.K. retail market is highly competitive, and retailers and their suppliers are already discovering the benefits gained through better collaboration and higher quality data sharing."
Target: Latin America
Elsewhere, Agentrics is allying with Webb, a Brazil-based consulting, e-business and outsourcing company, to offer Agentrics solutions and services to the Latin American retail industry.
"Latin America represents a significant growth opportunity as more retailers in that region seek new ways to build efficiencies and operate more effectively," said Pete Plotas, Agentrics vice president. "Retailers in countries such as Brazil and Mexico are enjoying rapid growth and are seeking solution partners to help them increase profitability. This partnership with Webb will help us build more productive relationships with these growing chains."
Webb will serve current Agentrics customers in Latin America and work to expand new business opportunities in the region for the Agentrics collaboration and data synchronization solutions, which include Collaborative Planner, Demand Signal Management, Supplier Performance Management and Data Exchange.
