Position Summary
The Junior QA Engineer/Test Analyst assists with manual testing of software and process quality issues for Agentrics’ web-based applications. The Junior QA Engineer/Test Analyst will review and analyse requirements and design documents, develop low-end test scripts (or assisting in developing more advanced level scripts) based on these documents, and will be guided in performing testing to include functional, regression, and acceptance testing; as more experience and confidence is gained in the role, more autonomy and individual tasks will be allocated. All faults will be logged and entered into the faults database under supervision of either anew starter’s Buddy, a Senior QA Engineer or the QA Team Leader
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of software, tested to specification before being handed over to Commercial Team for release;
- Develop test scripts;
- Perform testing (manual and automated) on web-based applications;
- Input and track defects in our defect tracking system, identifying issues for resolution at source (i.e. not just identification), whilst reporting and maintaining bugs/errors and non-compliances to spec in the faults database;
- Validate supporting documents with software e.g. Help/installation
- Work closely with internal development group to track development and testing cycles, including Beta site co-ordination;
- Maintain documented systems for evidence of compliance.
Skills and Expertise:
Essential:
- Some training or experience of Web-based Application Testing using Internet Explorer;
- Some training or experience with developing test scripts from documented requirements;
- Experience of working in a team-based environment with the ability to actively contribute to the team;
- Ability to work alone or unsupervised on given tasks;
- A willingness to embrace the Agile Development Methodology;
- A strong desire to develop consistent and value-add quality processes and to learning to utilise automated test tools;
- An understanding of the function that software QA testing plays within the business and client business arena;
Desirable:
- Some experience in cross-browser or accessibility testing for web applications, either practical or theoretical;
- Some experience or training in testing ASP.Net applications, working with Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, C#, or Telerik WebUI Test Studio;
Globalization and Language Requirements:
English is required. Fluency in any of the following languages is a bonus, but not essential: French, German, Japanese,Chinese, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.

Relevant Foundation Degree or similar relevant industry certification, such as ISEB Foundation Course in Software Testing or similar.
