Supplier Services Analyst

Description of Duties

This position is primarily responsible for delivering the Supplier Discovery and Supplier Sourcing Services, providing new supplier contacts to Agentrics customers. This experienced individual will gather relevant information from the customer, coordinate the supplier search and provide results back to the customer. The Analyst will be responsible for a set of customers and will share other general tasks with the Senior Supplier Services analyst. The position reports to the Director of CSS and Content Services and will work closely with the Senior analyst.

Supplier Discovery Service: provides new supplier contacts to customers

  • Overall responsibility of delivering this service for certain customers
  • Receive requests from customers, execute external database searches, communicate the sub categories selection back to customers, proceed with the searches, coordinate with CSS and compile results to send back to customers
  • Update reporting documents

Supplier Sourcing Service: provides and qualifies new suppliers for his/her own customers:

  • Responsible for gathering all relevant information from the customers
  • Lead the initial external database searches
  • Coordinate with CSS (search, phone calls, selection, registration, training)
  • Participate in all steps when the language skills allows: phone calls, e-mails, analysis of the documentation
  • Responsible for regular, weekly updates to the customers
  • Set, monitor and analyze the RFP
  • Create the final presentation and summary for the customer
  • Update the reporting documents

Other tasks

  • Create or update any process document customized by customer
  • Back-up of the Senior Analyst when absent on other tasks as needed: reporting, updating the Supplier Services action plan, training new staff, general communications with all customers, presenting the services to new prospects.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2 to 3 years experience in a retail or international manufacturing environment
  • 2 to 3 years experience in a purchasing, sales or commercial position
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
  • BA degree in business or similar fields
  • Familiarity with or proficiency in a language other than English

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated web-based database searches facilities and interest
  • Familiar with international trade rules
