CareersSales Coordinator – US Sales Position Overview: As a Sales Coordinator, you are in a sales support role to one or more salespeople. In this role however, your function is to essentially manage salespeople’s effectiveness – by scheduling appointments into their calendars and by prioritizing their activities according to the relative contribution those activities make. In this role you will work with process management tools that will enable you to objectively manage salespeople’s calendars and program their tasks. These tools will also enable you to manage multiple concurrent sales opportunities on behalf of salespeople and produce management information on the performance of the sales process. Your objective is to optimise the utilization of your salesperson/salespeople. Specifically, this means making sure that every available appointment slot in a salesperson’s calendar is filled with the activity that makes the greatest possible contribution to the organization at that point in time. It means making sure that all activities are scheduled in the appropriate sequence, and that all reports and databases are kept up-to-date. Schedule and manage the calendar of the Business Development Manager (set sales appointments, confirm meetings etc), with a view to filling their available appointment times. Manage the CRM database (adding and updating new contacts, recording notes, creating and updating opportunities, exporting marketing lists etc). Compile sales and marketing reports for management.
