Position Summary
 
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for support two or more account managers by scheduling appointments into their calendars and prioritizing their activities according to importance. 
This role works with process management tools that enable you to objectively manage salespeople’s calendars and program their tasks. These tools will also enable you to manage multiple sales leads and opportunities on behalf of salespeople.
The objective is to optimise the utilization of our salesperson/salespeople making sure that every available appointment slot in their calendar is filled with the activity that makes the greatest possible contribution to the organization at that point in time. It means making sure that all activities are scheduled in the appropriate sequence, and that all reports and databases are kept up-to-date.
Manage the CRM database (adding and updating new contacts, recording notes, creating and updating opportunities, exporting marketing lists etc) and compile sales and marketing reports for management.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Calling leads to book meetings for the account managers
  • Scheduling / calendar management
  • CRM database maintenance & management
  • Management of sales opportunities from stage 1 to stage 6 following the standard workflow
  • Client & prospect correspondence
  • Preparation and management of sales related material as required (e.g. proposals / quotes)
  • Run sales meetings (not presenting but driving the tool)
  • Involved in planning of marketing campaigns
  • Marketing researcher to find contacts within our target market for each solution

Desirable:
 
  • An understanding of sales and marketing concepts (previous exposure to a sales environment would be ideal).
 
Education and Experience:
Essential:
 
 
  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Management, Business, Sales
  • 1-4 years of experience in a sales environment
  • Experience making cold calls
  • Experience in sales environment
  • Previous experience managing a CRM database.
