Marketing Manager
Position Location: Chicago, IL or Alexandria, VA
Position Description:
Provide strategic planning, management and execution of marketing and communications initiatives for this global provider of professional services and software solutions to the retail and consumer goods industry. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent communications skills, with well-rounded experience in marketing and communications. Technology, business-to-business or professional services experience is a plus. This global role requires successful event management, community development and campaign enablement abilities.
Responsibilities Summary:
Meeting & Event Planning
- Plan, manage and execute annual customer conference (200 attendees)
- Develop promotional strategies to increase event participation
- Work with practice areas to develop and manage content, speakers and supporting materials
- Manage involvement in trade shows and partner events and all supporting programs
- Plan campaigns around events to drive interest and engagement
Campaign Management - Provide ongoing creative and marketing management support to portfolio companies as needed in consultative and execution roles
- Design, manage and support integrated sales and marketing campaigns for a wide range of solutions
- Produce online and printed marketing communications, including brochures, invitations, ads and newsletters; manage printing and distribution, and manage online library
- Develop joint marketing programs with partner firms
- Plan campaigns around events to drive interest and engagement
Corporate Marketing - Maintain Agentrics websites--content, messaging and look and feel—through content management system
- Develop and maintain corporate presentations and other materials
- Identify and secure outside speaking engagements, sponsorships, etc. to promote Agentrics brand
- Produce recurring customer communications and maintain firm-wide mailing lists
- Support firm branding, messaging and budget for all external communications
- Update/maintain corporate profiles for various outside organizations
Public Relations - Write and distribute partnership news releases and company news items as required
- Develop and grow media relationships through events, meetings and communication
- Find and submit awards nominations
Internal Marketing - Update executive team and organization on marketing and communication programs
- Facilitate communications throughout the organization through various channels (intranet, lunch & learns, email, etc.)
- Assist with the coordination of internal meetings, shareholder meetings, firm outings, and special events
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree, preferably in business, journalism or communications
- Experience managing sponsorships, events or trade show participation
- Three to five years experience in a marketing/communication role; professional services, software or B2B experience a plus
- Excellent organizational, written and oral communications skills
- Comfort with website maintenance using content management system, some HTML knowledge preferred
- Excellent diplomatic skills; skilled at developing and maintaining personal, social, and business relationships representing Agentrics in a professional manner
