Position Summary
 
This position will be responsible for providing Level 2 functional and technical support for business applications within the Agentrics GenSource/GenShare product lines.
 
Web Applications Support Engineer is an exciting position that provides a fast paced challenging environment.   • Participate in large and complex deployments
  • Support Performance tuning
  • Monitor and debug complex JAVA based applications
  • Provide critical incident response

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills for all tiers of web applications.
  • Deploy patches and new releases of applications on Unix and Windows environments.
  • Scripting, configuration of application components and environments, testing, documentation of activities.
  • Provide day-to-day technical and functional expertise
  • Document processes and configurations

Skills and Expertise:
  • Ability to clearly communicate in writing, visually and verbally
  • Understanding of Java development in a J2EE environment
  • Successful completion of one or more certification programs, including Oracle 10g AS OCA/OCP; MCSE or MCP (Windows 2003 Server); BEA Certified Developer, Administrator or Architect; IBM CSA (WebSphere AS); Certified JBoss Administrator or RHCE. 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Experience working as an web application support or application deployment with Systems Administration background preferred (4 – 5 years)
  • Experience in administration, maintenance or support of WebLogic, JBOSS (4 – 5 years)
  • Experience with Apache, SunONE, Tomcat ( 4 – 5 years)
  • Experience in writing scripts in Bourne/Korn Shell, Perl and SQL Scripts (2 – 3 years)
  • Experience on UNIX (Sun Solaris 8, 9 ) and Microsoft Windows 2003 platforms (4 – 5 years)
  • Experience with Oracle and MS SQL databases ( 1 – 2 years)
  • Experience in maintenance, management, deployment and/or monitoring web-based applications, such as portals (Liferay), WebLogic, JBOSS, etc
