Position Summary
 
The Business Development Manager will be responsible to prospect and generate new business from potential and existing clients. In addition, the BDM will develop new territories and a consistent pipeline, create a strong relationship with all clients, and add value to our solutions.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a quality pipeline of solution and service opportunities
  • Work closely with the product and delivery teams to identify sales opportunities in accounts and engage appropriate resources to develop the opportunity
  • Driving SaaS (software as a service) sales process through the entire sales cycle.
  • Build compelling business cases to support proposals.
  • Develop strong relationships with potential and exiting clients at SVP, Director and C-levels
  • Conduct sales calls and customer prospect visits
  • Lead the Statement of Work, negotiation, and contracting process
Travel Requirements:
  • 50% - 75% Travel
Skills and Expertise:
  • Ability to develop and maintain executive level relationships.
  • Knowledge in operations, preferably in supply chain.
  • Energetic team player with exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Highly professional, self-motivated leader that demonstrates high standards of ethical conduct.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, understand the client needs and leverage appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales process, including negotiating sales opportunities to closure.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Degree in Business Management or a related area.
  • 7-12 years of B2B sales experience in SaaS (software as a service).
  • Experience in the supply chain industry.
